Wacky Problem, Doesnt Detect My Hard disk!

I loaded the windows installer(a blue, oldish kinda screen), the and pressed enter to "set up Windows XP now."

after that another screen came up and said,

"Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer.

Make sure any hard disk are powered on and properly connected to your computer, and that any disk-related hardware configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufactuer-supplied diagnostic or setup program.

Setup cannot continue. To quit Setup, press F3"

and then I do and it reboots, follow the same steps and say the same things, anyhelp on how to fix this?

    Easy...install a hard drive.....:)

No really, I would re-install parallels from "scratch". Your VM is off to a bad start and you are not so far into it that it's going to cost you much to start over.

Personally I would start from "scratch...the app as well as any VMs. There is something wrong with the install on a foundational level if the installer cannot even find a drive...
