Just downloaded and tried out the new IE9 beta under Win7 in Parallels 6 VM. Kept crashing. Not surprising I suppose. Shame - it looks great and is very fast. Guess we'll have to wait for Parallels to catch up with it.

Same issue here. Seems to be an issue with the GPU Rendering capabilities. If you disable 3D acceleration in Parallels it will run but you lose Aero. If you want to keep Aero here's the workaround

    1. Launch IE9 and immediately press the New Tab button
    2. Click the Tools icon in IE and select Internet Options
    3. On Advanced tab, select "Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering"
    4. Click OK and restart IE9

It should load and run correctly now, sans GPU accelerated page rendering.

Same problem here, except your fix didn't work for me Rob C. I disabled the 3D acceleration but I still cannot open IE9.

Try Using Control Panel to Disable GPU Acc.

    Hi,

I was having the same problem with ie9 crashing. I didn't like my chances of hitting the settings button before the crash so I went into control panel and used internet options. Make sure you at least re-start the browser, all seems good now!

Just reinstalled IE9 and followed Mark's instructions. Still runs pretty fast so worth doing.

Note though that running the pretty fish animation at http://www.beautyoftheweb.com/#/experience on IE9 and Chrome under Parallels and in Firefox in OS X got the fan going mad :)

It is still broken for me with build 11828 if I have GPU rendering enabled. If I disable it, it works fine.

    rw712, MichaelG04,

Can you please reproduce your issues, generate problem reports (Help->Report a problem menu) and post their IDs here? IE9 works just fine for us and many users confirm they have no issues. We will need to investigate your cases separately.

Its due to Use Mac Look

I found that if you follow the suggestions it doesn't work until you turn off Use Mac Look.

I really like this feature and I need IE9 for testing, so it would be really nice if this could be fixed.

BTW, I am on the latest build of PL's 6.

    Thanks!

I had the same problem with IE9 on the latest build of Parallels 6. I tried everything, and finally it came down to the solution offered by dubhunter. Disable 'Use Mac Look' and it works fine.
