it appears the imac modem is not realized and doesn't show up in devices menu....any fix for this ? tks
WinFax Modem Assignment in Parallels I've been trying to work around this problem for two days now and am about out of my mind. I can not get XP to recognize the modem in Parallels because OSX won't release it. And yet I can't use Fax Sharing between Parallels and OSX because WinFax for Mac is not on that system. So I've tried WinFax Sharing to a PC running XP with WinFax installed and while in Parallels I am able to find and recognize the host PC, access is denied because of SP2 securty upgrades. And the Symantec work arounds don't work. Simply, if you find a way to get a modem to work in Parallels, please let me know and I'll do the same. Thanks! Carl
I'm aiming for the same I would like to do the same. My problem is with my new MacBook Pro which no longer has an internal modem as its predecessor did. The modem needs a direct USB port free and not a shared one. Would be grateful for any feedback.
