Multiple Spaces

Discussion in 'General Questions' started by Parallels User, Mar 24, 2009.

  1. Is it possible to open multiple VMs in full screen in different spaces? I'm trying to run XP and Ubuntu at the same time. Since Parallels is the same application for both VMs, it is restricted to a single space. I've tried to create the illusion of different spaces by setting my own custom key bindings for ctrl-up and ctrl-down to change between XP and Ubuntu windows, but the keybinding only works 10% of the time. I was wondering if there was anyway to trick the system into thinking there are two different parallels programs, or if there was an easier way to switch between VMs.

    Thanks,

It seems this would be tantamount to running multiple instances of Parallels (which I don't think you can do), but telling Spaces how to consistently differentiate those instances so it would know which to put where would be an additional challenge. I would be very interested in this feature as well, but I don't see how to do it. Anyone from Parallels development team have any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Benjamin
