I just recently uninstalled parallels and my rdp - java is still defaulting to parallels so iam unable to open the session. So here is the situation, sometimes I use my mac to login to a sonic all ssl vpn virtual office which is a webbase login. In there it launches a java - rdp (terminal services) session from a bookmark/applet. What it normally does it would launch the remote desktop session and I am in. After I installed parallels, each time i click on the rdp - java link it would try to launch parallels and then start up the XP guess os, which of course is not what i want to do at all. So even after I installed the parallels, it is still doing the same thing. So now with the uninstalled parallels, iam getting the error "The "remote destkop connection" application cannot be started. This windows application cannot be started because Parellels desktop was not found on you Mac." Any help please?
Let's resurrect this one. I'm having the VERY SAME issue. I cannot get my mac (10.5.8) to use The mac version of RDP. It always wants to open it in WINXP. boo. ANy help here? And please, tell me all the basic to the advanced options, as I've tried many of them (i.e. turning off 'smart select' or whatever it is).
There is no file to change - none that I know of. It's a link from within safari (or any web browser for that matter) once I'm logged in. It's web based.
