Hello, Since this morning, I'm unable to launch Parallels Desktop. A black windows opens with the following error message : "SCSI controller is not installed. Network bootrom is installed. Trying to boot from Primary Master IDE Drive... Err. lecture disque Entrer Ctrl+Alt+Suppr pour redémarrer" I tried to shut off my Imac several times, still the same. I tried to reinstall Parallels Desktop 6, nothing changed. Really don't know what to do. Anyone could help ? PS: It's been working really well for several months till today...
Hi, The virtual hard drive seems to be corrupted, you may perform installation repair: for Win XP:http://kb.parallels.com/5138 for Win 7: http://kb.parallels.com/5223
Thank you Roman for your reply. I'm probably stupid, but how can I open the configuration of the virtual machine when I can't launch Parrallels Desktop and see my Virtual Disk? In the little black window which opens, I have no hardware section or "configuration editor"? Tomorrow, Il have an appointment with 2nd Level Support Team who will access directly to my computer and check it by themselves. Hope it will solve my problems. Thanks anyway for your help.
I am getting the same error message on my XP vm. Have recently upgraded from Mac OS 10.6 to 10.7 and parallels 5 to 6. Tried the KB fix by repairing the drive with installation disk but after disc found (and some initial XP screen -too quick to see) I just get a blank screen that hangs. Disk is legit copy and OK. Would be happy to just get some files of it if I can't get XP to boot. Problem reported with ID number 9660833 (hang when installation cd recognised) and ID 9660915 when installation CD not inserted.
