Windows 7 VM has been working perfectly for months. It has one snapshot that is a couple months old. I upgraded PD6 to build 12092. Rebooted. Windows loaded fine. Parallels Tools auto ran the upgrade installer. Rebooted. On boot, I receive "Operation Failed. An error occurred while reading the disk." I was able to mount the virtual hard drive in Mac Finder - looks fine. I was able to clone the VM, no problems - however, the cloned machine will not boot, has the same error. I used the Report a Problem tool, it was logged as issue ID 9306728. David
Correction: I was able to mount the virtual hard drive in Mac Finder - looks fine, but cannot copy files out of it. Trying to copy files results in Finder crash.
Operation failed. An error occurred while reading the disk. This morning my computer was powered off while Windows 7 was deleting a snapshot. Upon reboot, I received the message "Operation failed. An error occurred while reading the disk." Running Parallels Build 12092, Windows 7 SP1 x64 (4 GB) and Mac 10.6.8 (4 GB). I have tried to reboot several times but had no success. Submitted problem report #9320726. Tried to open Parallels support ticket using both Safari and Firefox but Safari just hangs and Firefox returns the message "The connection was reset". Assistance would be very much appreciated.
If your using Windows 7 would this be good? When I was rebooting it the last time its says failed. Is this bad?
