Hi - I have XP running in the latest build of Parallels 6 on a Mac, though the problem I am having has been ongoing since before this build. Basically, it takes half an hour for SmartGuard to delete the previous snapshot before creating a new one. Since I don't typically leave my laptop on when I am not using it, this means that I must disable SmartGuard, as it's not really feasible for me to wait half an hour, especially when I miss the 60 second window during which I can tell it NOT to create the snapshot. I had the setting set to optimize for Time Machine, so I guess it keeps only one snapshot, but for now, I can't use it. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.
I have the same problem, though it doesn't quite take 1/2hr, maybe 5-10mins to delete a snapshot before a new one is created. Running Windows 7 Ultimate using Parallels Desktop 6 on my MacBook Pro. I think the Parallels team just haven't ironed out all the bugs yet. The 64-bit kernel compatibility problem really annoyed me, I wasted 40+hrs trying to figure out why one of my programs wasn't running properly. I'm new to using a Mac and Parallels but it seems to me that a lot of features just don't work as advertised.
