    Host System:

    Macbook Air
    Mac OS X Lion
    Parallels Desktop 6

    Guest OS:
    Windows 7 Enterprise.

    Problem:

Insert USB stick, get pop up to which device I want to give it to. I select the Guest VM.

Stick mounts on Mac OS X, nothing appears in Windows.

I've ejected it a few times, double checked a lot of things, still can't find anything that would indicate why it is doing this.

You're not alone, there are a few other threads on this. In the thread linked below, I supplied a Report ID to Parallels support. Hopefully that will help them with root cause analysis and a fix.

yes i've submitted a ticket as well.

Oddly, if you tell it to give the stick to Mac OS X it just vanishes and never connects to either the VM or the OS that I can tell.

Thanks for also submitting a ticket; if everyone does, should help escalation.

Interesting, my USB drives mount fine if I tell it to give to OS X. Then again, considering that a reinstall fixes things for some folks but not others, I suppose it shouldn't be all that surprising that symptoms are not always identical. Thanks for the info.
