Not entirely... It may just be my configuration but here's what I'm finding. I get IM requests and can answer them fine. I can't search for a Contact (unless they are in my Outlook contact list). When I try and search I see "The address book is preparing to synchronize. Search results might not be current." The synchronization never seems to complete. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Lync 2010 through Parallels as a temporary solution I am having success getting Lync 2010 to work through Parallels with Coherence enabled. Calls and IM function well. It doesn't seem like video is possible. This seems like a good solution until a better Lync supported Mac client is available.
Lync2010 was recently rolled out where I work. I'm using Parallels7 with Windows7 HomePremium on OS 10.8 - all have latest updates. I find everything works well in Windows - e.g. Exchange email and calendar have no issues (at least not due to virtualization), I can see shared drives, etc. However, I cannot connect to the Lync network. I have put in the correct address for the internal and external servers, which includes a reference to port 443. The error I get from Lync is, "The user name, password, or domain appears to be incorrect. Ensure you entered them correctly ...". I did and I have. I'm begining to wonder if communications between OSX and Windows7 are not occurring via port 443. Do I need to do some sort of port forwarding or remapping? My virtual machine is set up using a "shared network". Any help would be greatly appreciated (as company IT group allows/tolerates macs, but doesn't support them). Thanks!
