    Hi,

I have had Parallels Desktop installed on a iMac since version 3, I then purchased the version 4 upgrade & recently I have purchased a new iMac (The old Mac does not have the install any longer, I had no options there I'm afraid).

I planned to install Desktop 3 to my new iMac, use my Desktop 4 to upgrade & then purchase Desktop 6 to upgrade to the latest version.

Unfortunately however, Desktop 3 simply will not install to Mac OS X Lion on my new iMac.

Can anyone give me any guidance here? I'd like to get myself up to date with Desktop 6 but don't fancy shelling out for a full version of Desktop 6 after paying the full price for version 3 & then upgrading to version 4 so far.

    Thanks, Russ.

Still no helpers in this area?

I have received an upgrade offer to Parallels 6 but without being able to install my previous versions, I'm not going very far with that offer so any pointers would be gratefully received.

    Russ.

My version 3 is CD original version (For Intel-Based Macs). My version 4 is a CD upgrade version (Again, For Intel-Based Macs) & I am having to install to a new system. The version 3 original is the one that is not installing. I'm pretty sure once installed, the upgrade will be fine, it's just the first steps that aren't working out.

    Thanks for the reply, Russ.
