If I shut down OSX with Parallels 5 running, I get an alert that "Parallels cancelled shutdown". I then have to quit Parallels, and then shut down again. I have 7G memory in this here Mac Pro, with 2G allocated to my Windows XP virtual machine. Running OS 10.6.4 FWIW. Derryck
parralels cancel shutdown, same here I have not been able to find a solution for this VERY irritating bug. Parallels must have an idea how to fix this. I have tried to reinstall everything, still same problem...
I'm having the same problem. Perhaps Parallels takes too long to suspend the VM, and the operating system considers that to be the same as canceling. I'm running Parallels 6 on OS X 10.5.8. The stupid thing is that if I shutdown the Mac again, it works.
