I migrated Windows XP from my desktop to parallels.

I was upset to see that all the imaging software created partitions the size of the old HD (60 gigs). I only use 30 gigs (and will be pruning that down).

Is there any easy way to re-size the partition and claim space back for OS X?

*bump*...only thing I saw was for partition magic 8.

Anyone have any ideas? This wasn't setup as an expanding disk...I couldn't do it at the time, I needed to set it at a specific size b/c I was doing a restore of my xp install on another computer.

I tried compacting it and only got 1 gig from it. HD is set for 60 gigs (filesize is 50 gigs though), but only 20 gigs are used by windows....is there any way I can get 20 gets back easily?

    thanks

sucked it up and used Acronis Disk Director...MUCH EASIER than trying to use gparted or others. I couldn't get the MBR on those copied.

    Thanks for the help
