Booting from bootcamp again

Hi all

I was wondering if it is possible to boot windows solely from boot camp after installation of parallels if you didn't want 2 operating systems running at the same time? or once parallels has hold of your boot camp partition is it not possible to do this?

I Did try booting from boot camp again and the XP desktop showed but not much else..

maybe this is not an option after installing parallels then and the only way to use windows at native speed is not to install parallels, the only reason i ask is my xp seems to be running really slow and slowing down osx a little to, i think XP itself may be at fault as i remember it being slow before parallels just booted from boot camp so i might try installing windows 7 and see if it speeds things up..
