I remember a time in 3120 RC2 (I believe) where I had file types associated to Window applications within Parallels. This worked well and the file would open in Windows.

Now, however, nothing seems to work. Instead, I click to open a .doc in OSX and I get IE in Windows. What am I missing in the setup? I have local sharing on. I'm running 3150 RC3

    Please help... miss the feature.

    Thanks in advance.

I don't ever recall there being a cross OS file type association feature. Are you looking to click on a .doc file in OSX and have it open Word in Windows or click on a .doc file in Windows and have it open Word in OSX?? This isn't possible.

From in Windows you can browse your OSX files and directories and open a .doc in Word inside Windows.

There are no cross OS file type associations.

hmmm... I could have sworn I saw it with 3120 RC2 and global sharing on. I turned off global sharing (due to other posts) and it went away.

well, if it was me imagining... it should be implemented. The fact that I'm able to click on a .doc in OSX and launch InternetExplorer in Windows leads me to think that the possibile functionality is close.
