hi, i have looked in this forum, but couldn't find a thread, so here we go: when you copy a file from xp to my osx, there is always the right file plus a file with a "white paper" cover and it is called "myfile.file/Zone.Identifier/$DATA" when you copy a lot it gets annoying... what is this and is it possible to turn off? thanks a lot
its called a stream file and no.. you cant turn it off.. Parallels needs to update its SMB stack to work around this problem. Heres a description about what streams are. http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa364404.aspx
ah ok, thanks! too bad, i just knew from "virtual PC" that this worked well. maybe in the final version they will have it working. but i can delete this DATA files without hard, right?
