    Hi,

I've searched in this Forum but I found no answers to my problem.
I´ve installed on a new MacMini Server (8GB RAM) with the default OS and after I get all Updates by Apple a fresh install of the actual Build of Parallels 7 (german). In this I created a new VM without the Install Asistant (cause it`s to buggy) for a Windows 2008 Server with the original Windows SBS2011 DVD.
The VM gets Briged Network via Airport and all works good (not fine but good). The Exchange Server is working but only Problem I have is, that the POP3 Connector ends without any error Message after a while. So I looked for solutions and I saw, that I´ve forgett to install the parallels tools. So I`ve installed they, but after that, I get every time (between 15 an 30 minutes) a BSOS with the same message.
The cause is the tcpip.sys driver, which you could see in my screenshot

Have you any ideas to my problem? A new install could not be the solutions :-(

    Hi Habib,

did you find a solution to your problem? I have same setup (SBS 2011 on a Mac Pro with 32 GB of RAM), and exact same crash. It's a clean, new install with Parallels 7.0.15054.

    I would appreciate any help.

    Cheers,
    Mark

    Hi Reefdiver,

yes I found a solution. I`ve installed VMware and have manually converted the PM machine to VMware. The import in VMware wasn't successfull, so I must recover via Windows Recovery Backup in VMWare :-( But since I have changed it works rock stable :)

    Hi Habib,

thanks so much for your feedback! Darn - switching from Parallels is not really an option here (at the moment) since I run a small server farm with several Parallels licenses. However, I found out via "trial n' error" that only after installation of certain Windows updates (I suspect Updaterollup 1 for SBS 2011 KB2555251), the BSOD occur. Currently, I am only installing updates and security updates for Server 2008. This is in no way a final solution, but when I find the "culprit", I can pinpoint Parallels support to the problem.

I was running Windows Essential Server 2008 before, and every time Parallels posted an update, it was a big worry that the re-installation of Parallels Tools would break the system (happened more than once to me). I will post back when I find a solution for my scenario.

    Cheers.

    Switch to VMware

In case anyone else runs into these problems with Parallels and SBS 2011: I am sorry to say that I haven't found a solution either - the lead regarding certain updates proofed to be a dead end for me. I have finally switched to VMware as well, and have to say SBS 2011 runs fine right out of the box. As Habib, I couldn't import the VM so I took his advice and went the recovery-way.

Thanks Habib, for pointing my nose to VMware. Bye-bye Parallels.

    Cheers,
    Mark

    Really disappointing

Since I don't want to double post, there's more out there, just like you.

I regret leaving vmware for parallels, all to save a few bucks on upgrade costs. Parallels, if your out there, please get this fixed ASAP. Don't make me regret choosing you.
