How to remove Parallels Shared Folder from desktop

I have tried several times to remove the Shared Folder from my desktop from deleting it and then went into Edit --->Virtual Machine ----> then Shared Folders and unchecked the Enable Shared Folders checkbox but still that dreaded folder keeps coming back every time I go into my XP Pro desktop.

Any ideas?

You could try un-installing parallels tools then re-install but click custom install not complete and turn everything on but turn shared folders off.

 

The option to display the Shared Folders icon on the Desktop is in the Parallels Tools Center, not in your machine's configuration. While XP is running, double click on the Parallels Tools icon in the system tray (lower right of the screen).

 

Thanks for your help. That was it. Parallels Tools Center is where to turn that off.
