Okay, i just got through getting my hands on a windows 98 disk since i have an iso of a bootdisk for win 98 and also an upgrade disk to XP. I can boot sucessfully from the floppy and i can get through the initial parts of setup with the windows 98 disk but after that point i hit a road block. the error occurs after it does its sytem check and starts to copy files needed for windows installation: Stardard mode: Fault outside of MS-DOS extender. I have tried several times with no luck i am not sure what to do. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
anyone have any ideas? I tried reformatting the drive and that didnt work. I tried installing via hard drive that didnt work either... do i just need a new disk?
is there any way i can get to system bios before i finish my installation of windows? I cant use my F keys because they are linked to my macbook and dont work inside the parallels program.
Nothing to help. But I have encountered the same situation when I attempted to install Windows 98SE using Parallels 1970. Every time when the setup program reached the point when it started to copy files, the setup program bombed. I have no clue either as to why this is happening and how to avoid it myself. I have not tried Parallels 3186 however.
