Cisco VPN stopped working in Shared NW Windows XP (no other posts cover 4.8)

My system: Macbook Pro Core Duo 2.33Ghz 2GB RAM OS X 10.4.9
    Parallels Build 3188 (latest release)

I searched on this issue but no one talked about it working for a while and then breaking with Windows auto updates in the last week. So I am posting this.

Cisco VPN worked fine until the last Windows XP update.
Using in Shared networking mode and everything worked for weeks even during a trip to the EU from California :(
Now I get the errors below in the log file. Anybody have any ideas?

I searched on this but no answer

No one covered the VPN wprkign and then breaking withteh last update.
I am not expecting a solution--jsut trying to figure out if it is my config or a general problem with the latest Win XP updates.

But I guess no one cares at all. Fine.

I have Cisco VPN working fine in XP SP2, but I can't get to it right now, as the main logic board on my MacBook Pro died, and it's now winging its way back to me from AppleCare.

However, I *THINK* I may be using a more recent version of the Cisco VPN software, like perhaps 4.9 something. I Googled Cisco VPN and downloaded the most recent version I could find, and it works fine.

    HTH.

I am using Cisco VPN 4.8.02.0010 (which is supposed to be Vista compatible) with Windows XP SP2 and all the latest patches applied via Windows Update. I am running on 3188. Works just fine.
