XP won't boot from my native Boot Camp Partition since installing Parallels 3188. It boots fine from the VM. There are many threads where 3188 broke the VM or Boot Camp's XP native partition.

Booting XP in BC can't get into Safe Mode. MBP gives black screen of death. Any solution to this?

Are you selecting the Windows congifuration at boot?
If you do not make a selection it defaults to the Parallels configuration and will not boot!

No. I have no configuration option. After selecting Windows at the BC boot manager it goes to a black screen in a second.

try hitting up or down button constantly during booting after the bootcamp menu and see it will bring up an option menu....

Weird. This happened to me as well, when I upgraded from 1970 to 3188. I eventually gave up and reinstalled XP in bootcamp, and reinstalled Parallels. Hasn't happened again to me, but I'm deathly afraid that it will strike again :p
