    Hi,

I'm encountering Error 1935 while installing Tools in Windows Vista running on Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac (6.0.11826).
I followed the advice in http://kb.parallels.com/en/6891 (repair .NET 3.5), but it had no effect.

Also, the assembly component number is different than in the KB article.
    It's {98CB24AD-52FB-DB5F-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}, HResult is 0x8007054F

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Hi guys,

I was having these problems reinstalling Parallels Tools under Windows 7 on Mac OSX 10.6. Everything went fine until a hang on "Publishing Product Information", then after a few minutes, the "Error 1935" assembly component message, and a rollback of the install.

After following the above KB article advice, which did not work, and seeing links to this KB article (http://kb.parallels.com/en/6891), which specifically addresses the problem but I can't access because it's an "internal" article, I broadened my search and finally found a solution that worked:

    http://resources.arcgis.com/content/kbase?fa=articleShow&d=37477

The problem seems to be a bad value for the registry size key. Following the instructions in the "Solution or Workaround" section of the above ArcGIS article solved the problem.

I did disable my AV software (Symantec) and turned off all of its processes in MSConfig before the successful reinstall, but I'm not sure if it made a difference.

    Hope this helps!

Parallels Tools Error 1935 & Shared Desktop connection on Windows 7

DylanW suggestion to this problem is correct. Thanks for that info!

I recently updated my Parallels 6 for MAC to build 6.0.11994 (Revision 637263) and subsequently lost connection to my shared MAC desktop on Windows 7vm.

Windows Diagnostics told me to reinstall Parallels Tools which I tried but instead encountered the "Error 1935" assembly component message and rollback of the install.

Who would have known a software upgrade would cause such a headache!

Thanks DylanW, I was having a similar problem, and found this thread.

This fixed it for me. Didn't expect ArcGIS to be the culprit!

    worked great! Solution for reference.

Yes! This worked for me, too. Actually, I didn't do the 'SFC/SCANNOW' thing at the end. I'm a such a non-Windows user I didn't know how to open the command prompt. I have Parallels Tools installed, though, now, so I'm happy. Here's the solution fromt the ESRI forum, for reference:
