Bug: Impossible to remove "Windows applications" folder from Launchpad

    After you uninstall Parallels Desktop 7, it does not remove "Windows Applications" folders from the seconds page of LaunchPad in Lion, and for some reason there is no obvious way to remove it manually - putting to the Trash just does not work. When clicking on a folder, it tells that Parallels was not installed correctly.

    I'm having this problem too. In addition there are still .exe files showing up in Spotlight searches.

    I uninstalled Parallels and the bug is back in the August 3 build; and, with work around does not work.

    I can delete the icon in Terminal, but it reappears with every restart of the machine. If you can tell where in OS X the file is stored, I can go and manually delete it.

    This worked for me - remove from VM list

    The same situation to me, and after deleting a residual info from Virtual Machine list, it also cleared away the sticky Windows Applications folder from Launchpad.
