    Hello,

I am trying to get Fedora Linux installed on my iMac. No errors on installation but when it reboots I am getting a error - 'Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!'

I re-installed but still the same error. I also tried increasing the virtual memory to the maximum also.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

SLawson, try to make your virtual memory low 512 mb. It should help.
And increase memory after first loading after installation.

I thought I had tried using several different virtual memory selections. It worked this time, THANKS!!
