In the May 2007 version of MacWorld Magazine, there is an article that talks about the 4 top VM Ware and of course, Parallels was listed as one. In a screenshot, I saw the windows programs (IE for example) freestanding in the MAC OS as well as the start bar at the bottom of the screen.

I've known Parallels to run "Windows within a window". Is this "outside the box" type feature a reality or was the screenshot digitally enhanced? I would like to be able to switch to a program running within my windows VM without having to bring up my Windows OS window every time. Is this possible?

This is "Coherence" mode. Basically it just makes the Windows background disappear, making it look like Windows programs are "floating" in your Mac desktop.
