    Hi all,

Having just bought and set up Mac Pro with Desktop running XP Pro I have been very impressed apart from the intermittent crashes! This doesn’t seem to have any pattern and I have attached the log to see if any of you’s can help?

Its taking some getting used to!

Did you do a memory test? Try MemTest. It is free and does a good job.

I'm seeing a similar crash, running on a Macbook Pro running OS X 10.4.9, Windows XP Pro as the guest OS. I'm getting Unexpectedly Quit out of Parallels with no other application open except Internet Explorer 6 for Windows.

I've attached my crash log as of course it's 3x too long to paste.

    Similar experience here

Most of the time I can get it to crash when VS 2005 is up and IIS is running. Seems to not happen at all when IIS is not running (IOW default web site stopped). I too am attaching my crash report from today.

I have the same thing happening to me also. Is use Parallels almost every day, and have this crash about once a day. It looks like that it happens when I click with the mouse (left or right button).
    I've attached some crash reports.

I constantly get crashing with this error, too. I gave up when it crashed three times in a day. I have had to stop using Parallels for everything as it wastes too much of my time. I use for tests that my Windows box is too weak to handle.

I have run memtest, which has a nominal fee for downloading. It did 26 passes and all of the tests replied, "ok". I have looked at the heat sinks and they appear to be fine.

I was thinking of going back to using the previous version of Parallels, which rarely crash, if at all. I cannot test software on a system that I consider flaky. Unfortunately, my VMs have been updated for 2.5. I'd have to start from scratch if I switched.

If it matter, I do not have clean installs of Windows using Parallels 2.5. I brought my old VMs from the previous version into 2.5.
