I'm considering switching to Windows Quickbooks Pro. If I were to set up QB to save a backup file every time I close QB on Windows, will I be able to select a path and save the backup files to a Mac directory?

    Thanks

    Mac folder for backup

It's not a problem. I do it all the time, though I set the Mac folder up as a mapped network drive in Windows. That makes QuickBooks think it's working only in a Windows environment.

    Set it up as follows:
    (1) In the Parallels Devices menu, click on Sharing and make sure the desired folder is checked in the list; if it isn't there, use Add to add it.
    (2) Parallels will include the drive in the Parallels Shared folders alias on the Windows desktop.
    (3) Open the Computer to display a list of the connected drives. Map the folder to a drive (Z:/, for example) by clicking on "Map network drive," browse to Network-PSF and pick the folder. Click "reconnect at logon" and Finish.

    Tom.
