I moved parallels into my trash instead of uninstalling the software. now I cant reinstall the parallels desktop software back onto my hard drive. I tried to uninstall software and theres no software to uninstall. Will not let me reinstall my parallels software now. check all my file, move all to the trash, cleared my downloads. But eve time I load parallels it say " Installing this software will replace the newer version with an older version". then " You can not continue, there nothing to install" cant find any more files to delete or trash. HOW CAN I FIX THIS??
I had the same problem. I moved the folders back to their original locations from the trash, then reran the uninstall from parallels. THe uninstall worked OK this time. Note however, that in my experience the uninstall from the CD still said there was nothing to uninstall. The downloaded parallels package uninstall woked fine.
