I am using Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac Build 6.0.12106. Either attempting to remove software using Control Panel or installing new software I get the error message "Could not access network location \\.psf\.Home\Desktop. I can't find anything in the KB to help. Any suggestions? This doesn't strike me as something an upgrade to 7 would fix but if I'm wrong, please tell me. I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.3.
Please open regedit from the start menu (run - >regedit), make a backup before (e.g. snapshot) In regedit change all \.psf\.Home strings to \psf\Home, use search with ctrl+F
My CorelDraw 9 CD was not seen by Windows XP so I could not reinstall it I installed CorelDraw 9 successfully years ago but lately, it has been acting strangely. I was able to remove the software but now, start, run does not see the d: drive and I cannot install CorelDraw again. I have Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac Build 5638 (5/6/09). I saw YanaYana's suggestion to "Please open regedit from the start menu (run - >regedit), make a backup before (e.g. snapshot) In regedit change all \.psf\.Home strings to \psf\Home, use search with ctrl+F" and wonder if that would work for me.
DorisB, No, unfortunately it would not work for version 3, in PD 3 path to psf starts with ".psf". I suggest you to reinstall Parallels Tools.
