I recently used the Apple tools to migrate from my old iMac to a newer model. Part of this entailed installing a new copy of Windows. Now I need to use Parallels however it was configured to the old bootcamp on the old machine. I deleted that VM but when I want to create a new VM I am not offered any opportunity to select the bootcamp partition.

    Suggestions?

Oh, have they ever come down to a reasonable price on upgrading from 6 to 7?

Okay, got past that by doing virtual machine -> configure and removing the existing hard drive entry and adding it back.

My new machine has 1gb video memory, but I am still limited to 256 on the slider. The machine also has 12g of memory but again that slider only goes to 8g.

Are these limitations of Parallels 6?

That's right, you cannot set more than 256 for Video on PD6 and moe than 8 GB for RAM even of PD7
