I would like to disconnect VM Windows from internet, but cannot change the settings in the VM Configuration pane.
The current setting for Hardware / Network 1 is:
[√] Connected, Type: [Shared Network] etc.)

    I would like to set
    - [ ] Connected (unchecked) OR
    - Type: [Host-Only]
    as suggested by the manual.

How can I enable those setting?

My suggestion is use bridge network. In this case you have to use different IP address block from your Internet IP address block. It's may be fulfill your requirement.

    Thanks a lot.
In my Configuration / Hardware pane I only find "Network 1" which settings I cannot change.
I can add another Network "Network 2" and there I can configure "Bridge Network".
But where do I assign which Network my VM Windows should use.

if the option is greyed out, it is because the machine is not running or is suspended or the settings are locked.

start the virtual machine or click the Lock icon in the bottom of the panel to enable checking/unchecking the option

    Thanks!

the option is greyed both when VM is running or not running; the lock is unlocked.

I added Network 2 (by clicking on [+]). There the option are enabled.
But I don't know how to move Windows to only use Network 2.

that's interesting, because as far as i know (at least on my installation of parallels) there can only be 1 network adapter.

so if it's still show network 1 i would suspect that it's not valid.

    so...

what would i do? i would open the config.pvs file located in the virtual machine package and remove the instances of "NetworkAdapter" that were found. my guess is there are two after you added the second one. make a backup of your VM beforehand.

    And that's what I did.
Removed both "NetworkAdapter" sections from the xml file, looked in Configurations before starting up VM, saw that there was no Network 1 or 2 anymore, added a new NetworkAdapter, started VM and select Default Adapter under Bridged Network.

Now I can turn [ ] Connected ON or OFF.

Thank you very much for your help, Tony.

And there is a reason why Network 1 was not valid.
I created that VM years ago with PD 3.0. There the Network settings were different (simpler).
Now PD 7 used that old .pvm file and rebuilt it, and in that process something went wrong.
    Thanks again
