Try to remove the virtual machine, boot into your Boot Camp natively using Windows installation CD and run repair. After your Boot Camp would be up and running on a native boot - create new virtual machine.

Thanks for your reply. I will definitely try that out. Would you mind providing me with a walkthrough how to correctly remove a virtual machine, just to make sure that i don't screw anything up. Much appreciated!

Sure - Boot Camp based virtual machine is usually does not contain any valuable data. But in order to keep safe, just do the following:
    Start PD from Applications folder
right click on PD icon in Dock -> choose Virtual machines list
Right click on Boot Camp machine and choose Remove
    Keep Files

After you preform all other steps and can boot in to the Boot Camp with no problems - you can remove Boot Camp PVM file from /User/Documents/Parallels/ folder
