Hi all, using the latest version of parallels, I always get a kernel panic. See log. Using build 1970, everything is fine again. I'm using MacBook Pro, 2.16 GHz, 2GB Ram. have you a) applied 10.4.9 update recently ? b) run a disk utility check and repair of permissions ? c) run a mem test app (such as "rember" having it close all apps including finder) ? A page fault indicates a memory error. Even tho this wasnt occuring in 1970, doesnt mean that it was Parallels.
Yes, 10.4.9. is installed. I've run Cocktail but still have the problem. Same to my two other laptops (I habe 3 licenses). Same crash log. So I would say it is not a problem of memory.
kernal panics I was having kernal panics a few days ago, then it stopped for a few days, and now it's back with a vengence. I can't find any crash log in ---> library ---> logs ---> crashreporter It's very bad now. I sent a message 3 days ago to tech support but no response so far. It would seem really unlikely that it's a memory problem as I only have these crashes under parallels I've run a memory test with no problems. (although I read somewhere that the Mac Pro memory can't be tested with normal means) I repaired disk permissions. Did a disk utility drive repair. I still get the kernal panics (screen of death with the Chinese lettering...) machine: intel 2.66 quad / 3 GB ram
Ok - is that all? I have send a support request 10 days ago and still there is no reply. These kernel panics crashes the whole computer! If there is no help at all, I will try vmware - at least the support works fine there :-(
I am having the same problems. Simply launching Desktop causes a kernel panic / crash! Infuriating, to say the least! Never had any problems like this before with any other apps.
