I posted this yesterday under the Windows Guest OS forum, but since I have received no replies yet, I thought to increase exposure hoping that someone in here has experienced a similar problem and can enlighten me. As the title implies, I am looking for some assistance since Parallels is not overriding OS X energy saving and screensaver settings when playing games under Windows. The specs for all of you, techy guys: Parallels 6 & 7: Indeed I have tried both and both fail in recognising mapped key strokes and mouse axis when using a gaming device via USB, thus OS X believes nothing is happening and triggers its energy saving and screensaver settings. I have also tried the three different SmartMouse options (Auto/On/Off) with the same unsuccessful result. Host: Windows XP Professional SP3 with energy savings within set to 'Parallels' option. Screensaver disabled. Host running in full screen mode. Gaming device: Logitech Wingman Rumblepad. A bit of an old one, I know but still works perfectly well. No problems here to report with the exception of the energy savings settings as previously stated. OS X: 10.6.8 with latest updates applied on 4GB RAM 2009 MacBook with nVidia chipset. My apologies if this topic has been discussed and solved before, but I am all puzzled here... Other than with a gaming device, the virtual machine works perfect. Anyway, would really (I mean, really) appreciate any help since I don't know if this is considered 'normal' (does not seem to me like that anyway) or is just another unresolved bug that seems to be passing from generation to generation... Well, thanks in advance. xo
