Hard Drive Serial Number

    I need the hard drive serial number for the drive in the VM to match the serial number of the physical hard drive. I have a program that I need to run in Windows via Parallels and also via Boot Camp. If the drive serial number changes, the app's copy protection prevents execution.

    I'm speaking of the hard drive serial number, and not the partition's "Volume Serial Number." Parallels is not passing along the real drive's serial number to the VM, and is passing some made-up number.

    How can I control the drive serial number emulated by Parallels?
