Error 1603 while installing Parallels Tools

    System Configuration: Mac OS X Lion , PD 7 , Windows 7

    Getting error code 1603 while updating Parallels Tools after updating with build 15054 of PD7.

    Tried steps in the article: http://kb.parallels.com/en/111730 -- issue persist.


    Any fix for this issue????

    1603 - is the general term and it mens - failed installation.

    Please open parallels-tools-installation.log (find it in TEMP folder --> %TEMP%) and find the exact error message - or attach it to your post.

    Parallels Tools Error 1603

    Hello Yana,

    The Error Code 1603 issue came up once again today.

    Please refer to the below link to get the ticket details which also has the log files attached:

    Lastly I provided the customer with the last possible steps like removing antivirus program and parallels tools and then try installing.

    Please let me know if there is anything more which can be done from our end?

    as you can see right nw the issue has been connectd with the corrupted cache - wery common issue with KB resolution which i wrote miself quite a long time ago. 1603 - is not an actual error message - it means nothing, you should remember that

    this is not the error message - it is some random part of log. Once again - 1603 is a generic error massage - it means INSTALLATION FAILED. it never says why and there might be a different reason every time. Search for another error code or similar
