I recently reinstalled Windows 7 via boot camp on my Macbook Air and now I can't use Parallels for Mac. Before I reinstalled windows, I used Parallels to boot up my Boot Camp partition, so I would like to do that again with the new install. Do I have to remove the old install of Parallels first? Any advice is appreciated.
    thanks

    G'Day,

I did the same as you when I first got Parallels. Had several attempts at getting a single version of Windoze to be available via BC and Parallels, failed miserably.

To get around this I purchased another copy of Windoze and now my system has Win7 32bit installed in a VM and Win7 64bit installed via Boot Camp.

Both installs work, main usage is VM version with BC install used for hungry Windoze applications.

Actually I ended up figuring it all out after a while.. All I had to do was go into the 'Parallels' folder in 'Documents' on the Mac and delete the only .pvm file (mine was called 'My Boot Camp.pvm') and then when I opened Parallels and went to file > new, it gave me the option once again to use my new Boot Camp partition.

Mine has started to hang now too.. since last weekend.. sits at the Parallels Workstation rotating startup window..

have to reboot windows to get out of it.. been traveling all week, so haven't touched the keyboard.

just installed the latest V6 update last week..
