I have no CD Drive and a Win 7 that is bootable and installable from USB.

Can I install Win 7 to Parallels on Mac from the USB drive?

In order to do this you have select boot from USB. To select the boot device in PD7 (as well as in PD6) you need to open VM configuration, go to Hardware -> Boot Order and specify the boot order and boot device.

This would work, if only Parallels actually supported USB booting in the boot device menu. (They do not.)

Apparently it has been promised for many years, so I won't hold my breath. But for the techs and engineers reading these forums, please move it to the top of the list. With Apple releasing more and more optical drive-less machines, the ability to install Windows from a USB flash drive is all the more vital moving forward.

    Thanks guys!

Any news yet if Parallels supports booting from USB? Is there a way to have it boot from a USB like a mounted HD?
