I've been running Parallels 7 on my MacMini without any problem. Today, I got new update notice, which won't install Tools, and there seems to be no alternative to rebooting, which only brings up the error message and the same terminal cycle. Does this have something to do with the fact I have no CD/DVD drive? I can't see what to do about this. Thanks!
I don't understand. Do you not have a physical optical drive or do you not have a virtual optical drive in the VM? You should have that and should be able to select Reinstall Parallels Tools from the Virtual Machine menu. Steve
I do not have a physical optical drive- just like the MacBook Air. There is no drive. Thus no drive for Parallels to find. As I said, even if this were acceptable to parallels, I cannot get past the error message- the only option is to reboot Windows, and that brings up the error message, with the only option being to reboot, which.... Endless loop.
