So my Mac runs a vpn (cisco) and the guest os (Cent OS) can access the vpn network fast and fine. However accessing the regular internet (Shared Network here) is really slow to resolve dns, so websites load slowly and yum update always times out.

If I switch to bridged and use the eth0 from the mac, everything is fast again, so seems to be a shared network issue.

    thoughts?

I think this is not DNS resolving problems. Problems is in your sheared network.
In this case bridge network is preferable if you need more speed.

    Thanks [IMG]
