Hi, I am test driving Parallels 8 with windows 7, I need to install software regularly from a automotive website that uses Java to perform the install. I have spent many hours trying to figure out why I could not get this to work and it turns out that Parallels tools is somehow conflicting. If I remove tools it installs perfectly. I even found that tools installed on my bootcamp install and running bootcamp causes the same problem. I am really liking Parallels and hoped to purchase but this is a deal breaker for me, is there anyway to fix this? RWI
Well the only fix I have found is Vm Fusion, I have installed it, converted my images, removed Parallels tools and its working great. Sad to see the poor support from the Parallels team, it seems I do not quality for any kind of tech support as I am test driving it to see how it would work for me. The hoops they put you through for some simple support is really ridiculous.
