    Hi there Parallels support team,

i am very happy to finally have my hands on the new v3.
Everything seems to run quite smooth besides one thing: SmartSelect does only work from the Mac side (open Mac files with Windows programs). When trying it vice versa i get the following confusing message:

When clicking 'OK' i get even more:

I am Using an Windows XP SP2 vm on a MBP. I have also noticed that the Windows drives are not mountet on the Mac desktop as it should. I guess this is because i am using version 0.4 of Google's MacFUSE like described here and there.

How can i make full use of the beloved SmartSelect? Do i have to configure something in the vm or at Parallels itself? I already tried to reinstall Parallels as the first error message suggests but it did not help.

Thanks four your help and keep up the great work!
    Best regards

Please, check existence of this folders and files:

    /Library/Extensions/fusefs.kext
    /System/Library/Extensions/fusefs.kext
    /System/Library/Filesystem/fusefs.fs/mount_fusefs

    Please, also read this topic:

    /Library/Extensions/fusefs.kext <-- is there
/System/Library/Extensions/fusefs.kext <-- is NOT there! Why not?
/System/Library/Filesystem/fusefs.fs/mount_fusefs <-- is NOT there! its located one subfolder deeper in 'support'

So what should i do now? Is the SmartSelect function linked to MacFUSE?

Thanks for your reply. Sorry, we had some problems with MacFuse versions. Bug is already fixed and will be in our next 3.x update.

If you want to use this feature now, uninstall MacFuse and then install Parallels 3.0 once again. Sorry for inconvenience.

    Thank you for your response.

It is good to hear that this is already fixed as we speak. I will not ask for any ETAs of this patch. ;)

Thanks for the good support (even on saturday).

    Best regards
