One of the users here actually sent me a private message asking me for my attention to this thread, first and foremost I don't think that is reason enough to send private messages.
Secondly, I actually had already seen the thread and decided not to comment because I have nothing else to add, but since for some reason people want so hard for me to comment here's what i have to say:
*The HP 8500 is supposed to be a generic printer, a placeholder for whatever is the default printer on the mac, it's an emulation only useful if you share your USB printer(s) between Mac and Windows AND want to use it simultaneously on both sides.
*If you are using network printers there's no point in using the printer sharing capabilities in Parallels, connect to it directly.
*I haven't personally witnessed the referred problems of having this printer installation constantly popping up, for those I suggest you contact Parallels Support directly, the forums are not actually Parallels Support.
*What Parallels does is simply emulating the existence of the HP 8500, when you have share mac printers with Windows turned on, it's a virtual printer, the rest is up to Windows, if you don't like it, turn it off.
I'm not really saying anything new here besides what I had already said before.
