no device drivers were found (installing windows 8 error)?

  1. ok so i've been using windows 8 release preview normally on parallels 8 and it installed fine. i've recently purchased windows 8, through my school's website so its a download file not cd. anyway when i try installing it through parallels 8 i keep getting this error that says "no device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click ok". I'm not really an expert so i have no idea what that means haha, anyway to fix this? i would appreciate any help thanks!

    re download the install media

    happened to me.file corrupt?

i downloaded it again and verified hash. it installed win8 preview and win8 rtm without errors.

be advised, all my win8 (win8 preview and RTM) and server 2008 just stopped working tonight

    weird because win7 still works.

i did not update parallel 8 newest update yet either, bc u need to register first before u can update.

it will work for little while but then it stops working. I've been having this issue on a lot of macs I'm setting up with parallels 8.

they are all installed and activated, BUT NOT REGISTERED. The end user needs to register it. But it seems like parallels 8 stops working if you dont register it. (and start the tech support!)

Not the first time this happened either. last time it was parallels7, this time same thing, parallels8!

    UPDATE
and with regards to my no start issue, repairing file permissions on mac seems to have fixed the issue i got with win8/server2008 not booting.

  3. yah it ended up being because the download file was corrupt and not complete, i deleted the old file and downloaded it again and it worked fine!
