New MacBook Air, Mountain Lion, latest install of Parallels 7 loaded and activated without a hitch. I can load Chrome OS. I have enterprise copies of XP and Windows 7, 32 and 64 bit install disks that we use to load our desktops. The install disks do not prompt for a Windows license key on our PCs. Every time I try to load a VM with Windows, it asks for the license key. I made an ISO copy of one disk and that too is prompting for a key. i am waiting to see if I can obtain a key from my local tech support. Is this normal, that I should be prompted for a key when the same disk does not require a key on a PC?

    Thanks.

    My Fix

Check your host file to see if for some reason the web address is blocked, not sure why but mine was blocked

    terminal> sudo nano /etc/hosts

Make sure there are no web addresses with parallels.com in it
