Regards, Patrick
Hi, if I got it right, you're just trying to create a BootCamp based VM, but not to import it, correct? This KB article should be helpful: kb.parallels.com/11244
Hi there. Yes, I want to create a new VM based on an existing boot camp (Windows 8 Enterprise). It is no the first configuration I've done. With PD 5, 6 and 7 was it no Problem to create a VM based on XP and Windows 7 Enterprise. I can boot from boot volumes Mac or Windows without any Problems. I followed your instruction: Alternatively you may do the following: 1. Burn the latest rEFIt image to a USB stick or DVD disk. 2. Booted from this USB stick or DVD disk, run 'gptsync' from the EFI shell (read more at rEFIt website). 3. gptsync will recognise that the GPT and MBR tables are misaligned and prompt to adjust the MBR. 4. Please confirm the MBR adjustment and restart you computer. gptsync shows only the msg: gpt partion and on the second line mbr Partition nothing else. The Problem still exists. Any other Solutions?
Hi There I solved the problem: I deleted the boot camp volume and created it again. Then I installed Win 8 again. The Partition size was new 170 GB instead of 250 GB. Then I had no problem to use it with PD 8 as an VM. Kind regards
