Feature request - Please implement a printer in the vm that outputs pdf on host! The experience is like this. On the vm side: This "special" driver should install with the parallels tools and add a printer ex "Parallels PDF to OS X" On the mac host side: When the someone in the vm has setup the printing options and clicks "Print" a prompt on the OS X would open to display the native OS X standard controls for saving PDF. Done!!! Why this is relevant? I would integrate well with all kinds of workflows since it helps getting the data out of the vm in the host environment. Also it creates a bubble around the vm so you never have to worry about printing. No more printing to other printers or other issues. People just print pdf and have to deal with real printers on the mac side. Why it's rather easy(i think) to implement? It would have to talk something like PCL 6 inside the vm so it supports large format printing and it can use native PDF capabilities in OS X to produce it. There is an open source project on source forge called PDF Writer. It adds a printer in OS X that can produce PDFs from applications that to not implement the OS X native PDF capabilities.
You could always save the PDF to a network location, or directly to your Mac OS X documents folder from within the VM, assuming you don't have the VM isolated completely.
Already using PDF Writer printer on the Mac side with the synchronize printers feature. I print like normal from windows and have the a PDF file dumped in a folder automatically. But I found it so convenient I thought it might come as standard. It requires some creativity to install and get going. Much more usefull then that "open in IE button in safari". It's so good I never print directly from windows anymore. PDF is so well integrated on the Mac it's the first thing you miss when using a guest os. Imagine having this capability in any guest os.
