    Hello Folks,

I'd appreciate some feedback/suggestions on what is the best way for me to upgrade my Win XP Home
to Windows 7 while in my VM in PD8?

Can I do this using a downloaded OEM .iso file within my existing Windows XP. Will doing so do a complete new install of Windows 7?

Help for suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi Jim,

I'd recommend to follow Microsoft instructions located at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/help/upgrading-from-windows-xp-to-windows-7

You can either use your ISO image (connect it to virtual CD ROM by going to Virtual Machine>Configure>Hardware>CD-ROM) or using Ms EXE file if you have it.

NOTE: I strongly recommend to make a backup of your VM before you proceed with the upgrade: http://kb.parallels.com/8829
