Windows 7 Admin users not working correctly

Hello. I am running Windows 7 in a VM. THe installation seems to have used my mac user account as the administrator. However, I cannot do anything like a normal windows administrator (for example change the permissions on the file system). Is there some integration between the Mac OS and Windows 7/VM that restricts what I can do in the VM?

You Mac Account administrative privileges cannot influence your Windows permissions.
