I recently bought a second MacBook Pro. My original had Parallels 5 updated to 6, replaced with a full version of 7 I got in a bundle. When I got my new MBP it was a Retina with Mountain Lion and I got an email that I could buy an upgrade from 6 to 8 which I did. My new MBPr is running Parallels 8 I now have my full Parallels 7 installed on a 2011 MBP running Lion, and my Parallels 8 running on my MBPr. I bought the Parallels mobile and I logged into both (they both say Connected now) but I can only see one in the App, usually the last one I logged in as. If I log out and log in with the computer thats not showing, it will show but the other disappears. I used my time machine backup to setup my new machine as it was becoming my main machine, but renamed it. I contacted Parallels Support and they said you cannot have multiple computers in the Mobile app and I should create a new email login and move one of my registrations there (then I can log out and into the two email on the Mobile app to see the two computers). The way the app is written (with a page to select the computer) it looks like it should handle multiple computers (although searching the internet I've never seen a screenshot with two or more listed yet). I'm worried it's "supported" but they tagged 8 as a upgrade to 7 (instead of and update to 6) and the Mobile server considers then the same computer but so far the internet and support say it's not. Anybody had any success getting multiple computers (with dissimilar Parallels versions) working or did you have to create the multiple Parallels accounts also? Thanks, Kevin
Hi Kevin, I'm afraid having two accounts is the only workaround as of now. However your idea is clear and I'd like to bring it over to development. To do that, I will need the problem report ID from your system. Please reproduce the issue (connect to one of your Macs via Parallels Mobile) and on the Mac side, where Parallels is running, click on Help > Report a Problem. Post the ID here.
